Nancy Turley is a happily married mother of 3 children, 2 boys and a girl; Ethan, age 17, Aidan, age 15, and Jordan, age 14. Nancy has a bachelor of Social Work from Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky and attended Asbury Theological Seminary in Master’s of Arts program. Nancy travelled to Haiti as a missionary, but had to return due to health concerns. Nancy became a police officer with the Metro Toronto Police Force where she served for 3 years before moving to Muskoka (northern Ontario) to raise a family.
Nancy was an addiction counsellor with a government agency for almost 8 years before she began as the Territorial Abuse Advisor for the Canada/Bermuda Territory. In this capacity, Nancy seeks to address this issue of abuse in the church directly but with sensitivity and concern for all involved. A large part of her ministry is through teaching. This ministry is across Canada and Bermuda as she seeks to safe guard the church from those who would compromise the ministry of God. Nancy has been active member of Women Alive and other community groups. She frequently contributes her writing skills to various articles for Salvation Army and other publications.
Nancy has an active speaking ministry and has a heart for ministry to women. Nancy loves the word of God and seeks to share this love with others as she leads an adult Bible Study and speaks at many different retreat venues. She and her husband Joel also lead Marriage Enrichment Seminars in Canada and the United States. They are active in the Bracebridge Salvation Army Community Church, where Nancy is a lay leader (CSM) in the church. Nancy loves the Lord and her heart’s desire is to live a life pleasing to Him.
