Reverend Moreen P. Hughes is an ordained minister with the American Baptist Churches USA and Progressive Baptist Churches, Inc., and serves as an Associate Minister and Minister to Women at the Concord Baptist Church of Boston, where her husband, the Rev. Dr. Conley Hughes, Jr. is Senior Pastor. They are the parents of three children, David Conley, Nicole Alicia and Michael Jonathan.
A graduate of Boston University, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, and the University of Massachusetts, earning a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology and Counseling, Rev. Hughes graduated, as a Jonathan Edwards Scholar, with a Masters Degree in Religion, from the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Wenham, MA, where she is currently a Doctor of Ministry Candidate in the track on Effective Ministries to Women.
Having taught for a number of years in the Boston Public Schools, she currently teaches in the Haverhill Public Schools. Rev. Moreen is the recipient of numerous awards and citations, including Outstanding Young Woman of America, and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She was selected as recipient of the sorority's 2002 Community Service Award. This past year Rev. Moreen received recognition and a certificate from Boston's Mayor, Thomas Menino, for outstanding service to the City of Boston through her involvement in ministries to women in the Church and the community.
Reverend Moreen serves the Concord family as Minister to Women and Families and is responsible for the planning and implementation of ministries and programs that promote the spiritual, economic, social and psychological growth of these groups. She has led the women of Concord Baptist Church into many areas of ministry and their annual prayer retreat conference continues to draw women from the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
Reverend Moreen is a scriptural based preacher and serves as speaker, workshop facilitator and teacher at women's conferences and retreats throughout the United States and in the Caribbean.
She was born in Barbados, where she accepted Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior at an early age, and praises God for the Christian men and women who were influential in her Christian education.

Spiritual Formation
Women with their busy schedules in the home, church, community and work, need to find time for self and to come aside and spend time with the Lord; in order to facilitate spiritually growth and take on his Character and characteristics. This workshop will focus on shaping, molding, influencing and developmental processes aimed at facilitating and cultivating growth toward spiritual maturity in Christ-likeness.
